Attraction at Disney's Blizzard Beach

As the Chair Lift transports Guests to the summit of Mount Gushmore, riders enjoy wonderful views of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and beyond. There is an observatory located at the summit, if you do not wish to ride down a water slide but want to enjoy the view.
The Chairlift attraction transports Guests of all ages who are at least 32 inches tall to the top of Mount Gushmore in Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park.
Take a leisurely ride to the top of Mount Gushmore aboard colorful, wooden, ski resort type chairlifts with umbrellas and dangling skis. The Chairlifts provide a one-way trip to the top of the mountain for access to these water attractions at the Green Slope area of the mountain:
- Slush Gusher
- Summit Plummet
- Teamboat Springs
Note that you cannot take tubes or mats with you on the Chairlift. Also, a Gondola is available for disabled Guests to access the top of Mount Gushmore.
Not Tall Enough to Ride the Chairlift?
Less than 32 inches tall? Don't worry. There is a stairway path to reach the top of Mount Gushmore for access to the water attractions. See the information on each water attraction to check height requirements for the individual attractions at the top of Mount Gushmore.
Disney Water Park Safety
At the Disney Water Parks, Guest safety is of utmost importance and lifeguard duty at the Disney Water Parks is serious business.
Highly trained and qualified lifeguards are on duty over the course of the day patrolling the Water Park. All Disney lifeguards must complete a thorough training program that exceeds most national standards.

- Borrow a life jacket free of charge and rent lockers and towels—all are available near the entrance of the Park, near the Downhill Double Dipper attraction and also near the Ski Patrol Training Camp attraction. - Swim diapers, for diaper-aged children, are required in Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and are available for purchase at the Beach Haus store, near the entrance of the Park.
